If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Take It In

What does this reveal about who God is?

  1. Read Psalm 139:17–18. David describes God’s thoughts as vast and precious. Do you actually believe God thinks about you this way? What makes that easy or difficult to believe?
  2. Read Psalm 139:19–22. David says he “hates” what God hates. Based on this passage, what do you think that kind of hatred really means? How is it different from how we usually think about hate?

Talk About It

How do we practically apply this?

  1. We are constantly taking in information and influence. What voices or inputs are shaping your thinking the most right now? How can you tell?
  2. What role does God’s voice actually have in your day-to-day life? What tends to crowd it out?
  3. Where do you feel the most tension between God’s values and what feels normal or accepted in culture right now?
  4. What is one negative or false belief you’ve been believing? What is the truth from God’s Word that needs to replace it?

Take It Home
